CNS Officials

Cheer Nova Scotia's Officials Development Committee provides training once annually, typically in late fall/early January. CNS has five official trainers, as designated by Cheer Canada: 

• Nadine Brown (also a Cheer Canada Officials Trainer/Official Committee member)

• Taylor Power-Routledge

• Jennifer Spencer

• Corey Skipper

• Jessica Adler

CNS trains officials in NS in the practices and methodologies determined by Cheer Canada. Officials are required to take the Cheer Canada Officials exams for the disciplines in which they judge. Cheer Canada does not train nor test officials in IASF Legality training; this is only managed by the IASF/USASF. 

Officials may also be certified in other disciplines such as the Unified Scoresheets, Varsity, and/or ICU.
