Cheer Nova Scotia offers coaches credentialing three times per year, aiming for:
May/June
Early November
It is the gym owner's responsibility to ensure their coaches are credentialed.
NEW!! (as of September 2024) CNS has changed the credentialing sessions to occur TWO times per year in 2025 (May/June & early November). Those with credentials expiring in February, will have their credentials extended until the next session. If you need a new certificate for any reason, please email: certification@cheerns.com

ALL course requirements (as per the Information and Registration Presentation below) MUST be completed prior to Registration.
Some exceptions apply (refer to the Presentation for details).

Note: Outside of credentialing sessions, the certification email is checked infrequently. During credentialing sessions there is approx. a 24-72 hr delay with responses.
Registration is NOW OPEN for the MAY/JUNE 2025 Session!
The hands-on portion (and final step) of the credentialing process will be held June 20-22, 2025. This will be done Virtually AND In-Person, during the CNS Coach Symposium at the Prospect Road Community Center.
ALL of the information and requirements are located in the 'Information and Registration Presentation' below. This has been updated with NEW requirements as of May 2025.
Note: If there is an abundance of registration, we may ask if you can test outside of these dates.
Approximately 1-2 weeks after registration has closed, check your junk/spam folder for add'l details that will be sent from certification@cheerns.com.
Start your course requirements NOW!! ---> specifically the MED & Planning a Practice courses, which can take several weeks to complete due to manual requirements.

If you are a prospective coach, being re-certified, leveling up, etc. please ensure you start completing all of the course requirements ASAP. Even if you are only a Coach in Training, these courses are extremely helpful and will help when it comes time to be certified. Ensure you are set up in Sideline and have all documents loaded.
