Credentialing
Cheer Nova Scotia offers coaches credentialing three times per year, aiming for:

It is the gym owner's responsibility to ensure their coaches are credentialed.
NOTE: CNS will be changing the credentialing sessions to occur TWO times per year in 2025.

Registration for our June 2024 session is NOW OPEN!!!
The hands-on portion (and final step) of the credentialing process will be held June 7 - 9, 2024. There will be virtual and in-person options again this time. In-person options will be held at West Halifax Cheer, located within Bedford Place Mall (1658 Bedford Hwy Bedford, NS) - Next to Fit 4 Less.

Note: If there is an abundance of registration, we may ask if you can test outside of these dates. Also, there may be some constraints for the in-person session as we are also providing training to new Testers.
Approximately one-week after registration has closed, check your junk/spam folder for add'l details that will be sent from certification@cheerns.com.
Start your course requirements NOW!! ---> specifically the MED course, which can take several weeks to complete due to manual requirements.

If you are a prospective coach, being re-certified, leveling up, etc. please ensure you start completing all of the course requirements ASAP. Even if you are only a Coach in Training, these courses are extremely helpful and will help when it comes time to be certified. Ensure you are set up in Sideline and have all documents loaded.
The Making Ethical Decisions course and evaluation should be started immediately as this course has manual requirements that are outside our control.

Note: Outside of credentialing sessions, the certification email is checked infrequently. During credentialing sessions there is approx. a 24-72 hr delay with responses.
